It’s the kind of disgusting people like her that make you want to give up on humanity.
Edit: Oh whew! Liz Trotta, the woman in the above video, apologies.. that was a close one! Turns out she was just trying to be funny! Ohhh man.. that was a good one, Liz. I’m glad you feel it necessary to make jokes about killing black leaders during this “colorful political season.” wtf..
If you’ve never listened to Juan Epstein before, definitely check out my man Peter Rosenberg and Cipha Sounds‘ podcast #20 featuring Pete Rock, the chocolate boy wonder. Remember talk readio? Oh, you don’t? Well, if you’ve never heard it before, Juan Epstein is a good start.
Walked out of the apartment the other day to head to work.. passing the trash that supers have thrown onto the curb and what do I see out of the corner of my eye? The easily identifiable tag by De La Vega, “Become Your Dream,” scribed on an old TV stand.
Supposedly, he lives in the area so I really shouldn’t be too surprised to see his tag on my block, but it was cool to stumble upon it. I’ve been to his shop a couple of times down in the East Village and it’s pretty interesting. I’d definitely suggest visiting and picking up some art or just checking out his hiliarious and thought-provoking drawings.
I saw Skillz at Virgil’s BBQ the other day, so instead of whining that I didn’t even big him up for his new mixtape, I thought I’d help spread the love instead. With the help of J.Period and Don Cannon, Skillz laces his vocals on some of the dopest beats from the 90s (Glamour & Glitz, WHAT!?). It’s free so go get it!
